PIPE LINE INSPECTION

Brief:- The ultrasound crack detection technology is based on the measurement of the time-of-flight of ultrasonic signals reflected from the internal and external surfaces of the pipe wall. A sufficient number of sensors ensure full circumferential coverage of the test piece (e. pipe wall) inspected. An unique sensor-guidance design provides reliable and accurate ultrasonic data results. APPLICATIONS:- Ultrasound crack detection is used to detect for single cracks and crack clusters. Because of the data redundancy (cracks always recorded from both directions), there is an increased reliability. The technology is versatile application, e.g. suitable for axial and circumferential cracking, accurate crack length and depth sizing, excellent weld inspection through sensor offset towards longitudinal weld, girth weld respectively (especially for small tool design), high pressure application or high temperature application.

The System consists of two elements – a receiver with a handheld antenna (EPD II) and an ITX Transmitter. Because each component is equipped with its own batteries, neither charging nor an external power supply is required.
